Problem with my Lock Screen

I have a problem locking my phone's screen, as it delays locking by touching the side button.

iphone X, unable to lock screen i have an iphone x and my power button recently stopped working. not a hardware issue, power button works for sos and restarting. I can't use assistive touch for the lock screen but other functions work. it just seems like I am not able to lock the screen unless I sit and wait for it to auto lock

Can’t lock iPhone screen My iPhone XS is acting up and I’m not able to lock the screen with the side button. When I restart the phone it works a few times but then it stops working again. I read a tip to use the Assistive touch function, but it only works when the button still works. When the button stops working, so does assistive touch. Any ideas what to do?

Try a forced restart of your XR, as per these instructions:--> Force restart iPhone – Apple Support
