How to unlock my iPad Air?

I purchased an IPad Air from a friend, she never used it and Knew I was looking for

one so she sold it to me at a great price. So I’ve been trying every way to get it unlocked and disabled to restore factory settings. We’ve tried every email and password she can think of. None of them have worked, and she did sign onto her moms account and deleted the iPad from their account. But when I go to set it up it still says it is linked to an Apple ID and password. I want to be able to use this iPad. Even if I gave it back to her she wouldn’t be able to use it. Can someone please help me?

If your friend were the original purchaser and can prove it with

a receipt from Apple or Apple authorized iPad retailer showing

the serial number of the iPad, she should make a genius bar

reservation and bring in the receipt, iPad, and government

issued photo ID to Apple and they may assist in resolving the problem.

If the iPad was purchased used or there is no receipt, the AppleID and passcode must be recovered

It is highly recommended that you make a Genius Bar Reservation to avoid delay at the Apple store

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

No one, even Apple, can help you. Your friend has to do it.

There is no workaround for the security features of Activation Lock.
