Does blocking “Remote Content” in the Mail App create make-shift Private Browsing e-mail?
I recently received an email from DuckDuckGo about them introducing email accounts to act as a gatekeeper for emails, removing trackers then forwarding to your preferred email address. They market this as Private Email.
I have my Mail App preferences set to not load any remote content. Would something like a tracker built into an email message be “remote content” and therefore not loaded or tracking my activity? The preference section just says “images or content”
I am already using mailbox aliases to hide my actual email address and last name.
Thank you.
P.S. Sorry if this would have been better in the iCloud for Mac Community.
