I have to delete 40,000+ emails from my computer. The deleting gets hung up and says getting read to move 350001 messages. What is the best way to proceed?

I was able to get my desired results by limiting the amount of messages to delete and not trying to delete everything at once.

We'd like to help provide some guidance on some steps you can try. We suggest seeing if this is isolated to the email service provider, and see if you have issues deleting emails via directly from their client. If you have an issue there as well, you will want to reach out to their support. If you do not have an issue, we would also recommend making sure your Mac has the latest macOS version.
