imessage video too bright

To Apple devs :

videos of my cute granddaughter shot on her father’s iphone 12 pro max sent to my 6th-gen ipad through imessage appears way too bright (overexposed ?) apparently because imessage doesn’t support hdr videos. while airdropped videos don’t have this problem, it is not practical for my son-in-law to come by my house just to share a video every time. please fix so i can better see my granddaughter doing her happy dance without needing to squint.

Playback of video in iMessages too bright/washed out My 7th generation iPad, running 16.5.1 started playing back my iMessage videos way too bright. (The same videos sent at the same time to my husband and his newer iPad play back normally.) Still pictures display normally. Interestingly, the still picture of the video clip is normal, as is the “tape” that runs along the bottom of the screen. Videos via text So my daughter has an Apple phone (which I pay for by the way). She sends a video via text to me with no issue. I try to send the video on via text to someone else & get an error message that the video is too long. We are on the same update... What gives Apple??!

telegram videos when i'm filming videos on telegram in the dark my videos are very soapy. i have iphone 14 pro. does anyone have this problem too?
