volume control 3rd generation apple tv with ikea/sonos speaker

Hey everyone,

I use my ikea/sonos symfonisk speakers with all of my apple gear with great pleasure. Except for my 3rd generation apple tv. It connects without a problem but there is no volume control. E.g. when i connect my ipad air2 the volume buttons dont do anything unfortunately. Searched the web for the right answer but havent found it yet. Anyone knows how to deal with this?
