I have 2 problems using my mac

  1. Cannot connect to the App Store despite good internet connection
  2. Unable to update software despite good internet connection

Welcome to the Apple Community.


Wondering which Operating system you are using on your Mac, and if there were any error messages, or anything.


If your Apple ID has been locked or disabled:

https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204106


If you see a message that says "Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes"

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208856


If your Apple ID is working ok...

Try clicking the App Store icon in the dock. What happens ?


f you have changed your Apple ID or password lately you might need to update your sign-in information with any Apple services that you're using. The support page below can help in this situation:


What to do after you change your Apple ID or password:

https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204071


Wondering what happened when you tried to update (was it Apple ?) software.

If you have the Software Update icon in System Preferences, you might want to try updating Apple Software from there.
