Why does my IPad say I didn’t send the messages while the people I send them to receive them?

I try and send an IMessage and the Message failed to send icon shows up and it tells me it didn’t send. While the people whom i send the messages to receive the iMessages. Why does it do this and how do I make it stop?

You can take a look at this support document, If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support but I'm not aware of anything else to troubleshoot that issue. It happens sometimes, if you have wi-fi or cellular data glitches that can cause it, and it can happen if there are systems issues with iMessage too. You can use this to check that status Apple - Support - System Status

While I understand it is aggravating, I'm not aware of anything else you can do.
