how can I share airtag with family members?

I am unable to share my airtag with family members in “find my”. Is this a bug? I put one on my dog, and I’m the only person in my entire family that can track my dog? It would be great if we could all see each family member’s luggage and help each other out. Apple, I bought four of these thinking we could all see each other’s airtags- just like we can see each other‘s iPhones and other Apple products. how hard would this be to update? Please do ASAP. Thanks and best regards
