how do I add a second blank page to keynote presentation?

I’ve created a presentation on keynote, I want to add another blank page to edit but it just duplicates the last blank page I created? I’ve only used this app a couple of times.

Add a blank slide to Keynote

1 - click the mouse in a blank section of the Navigator (the side panel on the left hand side) to show the slide options

2 - go to the Inspector (the right hand side panel) and change the slide layout to Blank in /Format / Slide Layout

3 - click the reveal triangle to show the layout options

4 - click on Bank in the chooser window

5 - either use the menu: Slide > New Slide or the keyboard command: shift command N to add the blank slide
