Why won’t snapchat not work?

In the last few minutes there are at least 4 threads started by people saying they can't download Snapchat. Clearly there is an issue with the App. Wait and try again later or reach out to Snapchat directly for help with their app.

The App Store is down. No one can download anything. Watch this for it to come back up again. Apple - Support - System Status

I am unable to redownload snap chat or any apps at all

Same for me! the app stopped opening so I uninstalled it, now I cant install it again. Other apps are installing just fine!

We had to sign out of the actual app store and sign back in for it to work.

It started working again
