ethernet disconnecting and reconnecting

Does anyone know how to fix a problem that I have ever since I upgraded to Big Sur: my ethernet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, almost every 2 to 3 seconds. I have tried everything recommended in threads: I unplugged and replugged my ethernet cable, changed location, did a safe mode restart, did today's Big Sur update. The other computers in my space do not have this problem--iMacs and no Big Sur update. Tearing my hair out!

Help, please!
