You should be able to do so, have you tried?
Bear in mind though, that if you have a phone connected to your car via Bluetooth, you probably will not be able to connect the iPod by Bluetooth at the same time. In this case, you could connect the iPod to the car by a cable to the car's USB port, if it has one. Presumably since the car has Bluetooth, it also has at least one USB port as well.
