Flexgate - Display Backlight service program

Hi,

My MacBook Pro 2016 model is working just fine.

As of today it is not showing any problems of 'flexgate'.

But my only concern is that the problem is inherent and it is just a matter of time before my laptop shows issues, what would be the plan of action if I get the problem when my MacBook's coverage has expired under the service program.

And is the problem limited only to a few units or are all models from 2016 affected?

I was denied keyboard service because 4 years have expired from the date of purchase of the product.

I am worried for the same reason.

Can I get the display replaced well in advance?

Hi,

Apple say "some" of MacBook Pro 2016 model display is affected by so called 'Flexgate'. However as you said it would comes up in the future, so I recommend make Genius Bar reservation if your local retail Apple Store is open or find opened local Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Pro carefully if your MacBook Pro is `Flexgate` free or would be affected it.
