Getting Completely Rid of Loopback

So I had installed loopback and I decided to stop using it because it did not fit my needs. I uninstalled it just as their website said to uninstalled it. After that, it did not appear in the upper right of my mac so I assumed it was gone. Later, I opened up the sound preferences and there were some of the virtual routings I had created earlier on. I searched finder for Loopback and it did not come up. I opened up the activity monitor and searched for the process in the CPU, RAM, and the Disk and it did not come up. My question is how do I completely get rid of it?

Thank you.

Do you realize that nobody else has any idea what loopback is or what you did to install it?

I did find one loopback product whose uninstallation instructions contain explicit directions on how to avoid what you are describing. Is this what you are taking about?

Please note that searching using the Finder will always be completely useless when trying to uninstall these system modifications. The Finder only searches for user documents, not system modifications.

Loopback is a generic networking term and also the name of a number of different products.

The link you provided explained it and I will do what it says to solve my problem.

I did a quick Google search for that one.

Also, searching in the Finder can allow you to search your entire computer by clicking “This Mac” (It is not limited to USER files

Finder search is limited to user files. Finder search should NEVER be used to attempt to uninstall software. Also, never use any kind of "clean up" or "app zapper" to uninstall software. Before attempting to install any software, find out how to uninstall it first. Apps from the Mac App Store can be easily uninstalled in the Launch Pad. Just click any icon and all the icons will begin to shake. Any Mac App Store icons will have an "X" button in their upper left corner. Click the "X" button to uninstall.

But for anything else, you must contact the developer and ask. If you are lucky, they will include an uninstaller inside the app itself. Sometimes they will post uninstallation instructions on their web site. Unfortunately, sometimes they do neither and sometimes those uninstallers don't work or the instructions are wrong.

Thank you for your help.
