My TV provider setting is missing the CNBC app to be enabled.

This problem has affected my previous iPhone and my current 12 pro fully updated. Settings>TV provider…after I sign in with DirecTV, the CNBC app does not appear anymore in the list of channels to enable.. Thus , the app doesn’t let me use the live TV feature even though I am a subscriber with DirecTV. I have reached out to CNBC techs but they don’t get it yet. I have tried all the tips about signing out, reinstalling etc.

Thanks. The CNBC tech support person was able to help me solve it. Very weird how the iPhone software is handling TV Provider Settings. I went into the Settings menu which appears in the actual CNBC app on its News screen. I signed out, closed the app, then reopened and signed back in. I went to Live TV in the app and it worked! What is interesting is that back on the phone's TV Provider Settings, CNBC now shows up under Allow TV Provider Access, but other channel icons that I had there have been bumped down to Available Apps and need to be re-installed to Allow... I'm just going to leave those alone. I think I had found a posting somewhere about this solution, but maybe it wasn't clear or I didn't get it right. Yay!

Ask DirectTV:

Reach out to the DirectTV Techs, and see what they have to say on this. They provide the service, apparently.
