Time date stamp and messaging

How do I get my iPhone SE to give me a time and date on every single message?

Time stamp sometimes when I switch my phone on I may get text messages. However, the time stamp is simply the same as the time that my phone received it. If I swipe left the time revealed is the same as the delivery time. Unless the sender includes the date & time, of writing, how can I determine when it was sent?

To see the time stamp, swipe left on the message bubble.
