Calculator vault app

I downloaded one of those calculators that hide your photos a while back and now it’s no longer on the App Store. Whenever I try to open the app, it says it has to be updated for the latest IOS. So I click update and it starts, but then it stops half way saying the maker of the app has to update it. I’d really like to get the photos from the app back. Any ideas?
