Yes, and the app you had been using is old and outdated and unsupported and does not and will not work on macOS Catalina, macOS Big Sur, and later.

There’s effectively nothing to migrate.

No 32-bit apps work on macOS Catalina, macOS Big Sur, and later. 64-bit apps are required. Apple has been showing app-deprecation warnings for that then-future for 32-bit apps since macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 or so, too.

For Microsoft Office 2011 and earlier, your choices are to purchase the current Microsoft Office 2019 package, purchase the upcoming Office 2021 package as that becomes available, purchase the Office 365 subscription, migrate to LibreOffice (free), or to the mostly-compatible Apple iWorks apps Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

A Microsoft Office 365 subscription can be acquired via the Mac App Store.

Office for Mac 2011 is a 32 bit app and will not run, you need to do one of the following:

• Upgrade Office for Mac to 2016 or later which is 64 bit. All apps for Big Sur and later MUST be 64 bit.
• Subscribe to Office 365
• Replace Office for an Internet based solution such as Libreoffice

To access your data log out of your normal user account and you will see a new user account, that is where your data is. Finally, I would have recommended you follow the steps Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant prior to migrating!
