Hiding or archiving texts messages on an iPhone without deleting them

I have text messages that have information or conversations I want to save, but I don't want to see every time I open Messages. Is there a way to archive messages so that they can be retrieved later?

Archiving/saving text messages Please tell me there’s a way that I can archive many of my text messages without having to delete them. I find it hard to believe that this feature is still not available after all these years. Surely I can’t be the only one that has an abundance of text messages that I don’t need to see every time I open up the app ! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

archive text messages is it possible to archive text messages in any Iphone app? i don't want to see a zillion in my text screen

As you already know, you can synch messages to iCloud but not archive them there. This does not solve your concern. At present, there is no way to archive messages in the message app.
