How to create a progress chart in numbers?

Hi,

I have a workflow to be done in 10 steps with checkboxes near it (i added a sample of it on attachment).

I need to add a progress chart (maybe a donut graphic) near it which is from 0% to %100.

Each checkbox I tick must progress by 10%. So when i complete 10 steps and tick the checkboxes, it must show %100.

Can you help me to create this graphic?

HI d'

COUNTIFis your friend here.

Add a second table to contain the information needed by the chart. I've used a two row two column table with a formula in A2 to count the checked boxes in column B of the workflow table (Table 1), and a subtraction formula in B2 to calculate how many steps are still 'to do.'

Formulas:

A2: COUNTIF(Table 1::C,true)

Note that there are no quotation marks around the word 'true' in the formula.

B2: 10-A2

Both formulas are on the small table, "Progress"

The chart:

This is a pie chart, but construction of a donut chart (not supported on the Pages version I'm using) should be similar.

Choose the type of chart you want, set it to get it's values from columns A and B of Progress. Include a Legend to get the names and colour dots as shown in the example.

Barry
