Max length of screen recording?
Is there a max length of a screen record that QuickTime will allow on the Mac?
I have an external 2 TB HD plugged in but I need to record a full day conference, 8+ hrs.

i don't think there is a limit. but i started using "desktop" as the save location as i had an issue trying to save some of my larger recordings (+1 hr) directly to an external HDD. the longest screen recording i've ever done was the spacex dragon crew 1 launch. it was 4.5 hours long. on my 27" retina display it turned out to be ~85GB in size. i saved it to my desktop and afterwards moved it to an external HDD just fine.
