How do I force 1 sided printing on Mac?

I am trying to print from a print server via a remote connection on my MacBook pro. I have the remote desktop configured to move settings and printers over to any remote connections.

The problem is, it default prints two sided and I want to change this, when I look in the settings on both my remote desktop and my Mac, there is no way to change it to single sided.

I attempted the "localhost.631" fix but could not access it, even when I used Safari and the terminal sudo command to allow access (I assume this just does not work on Big Sur 11.5).

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello lambertelliottp,

We understand that you want to turn off two-sided printing, and we'd like to see how we can help.

Does the issue happen when you try to print from your MacBook Pro directly? Print documents from your Mac

You mentioned that you don't see the option to change the two-sided printing setting on your Mac; how are you trying to adjust those settings?

"After you choose File > Print, the Print dialog appears so you can select a printer and set print options. The Print dialog shows different options depending on your printer and the app you’re using. If you see a Show Details button, click it to see all the available options."

You can find more information about managing print settings here: Choose settings in the Print dialog on Mac

Thanks!
