External monitor (Philips 276E8V) not waking from sleep

So I'm having problems with the Philips 276E8V monitor I've recently connected to my MacBook Pro (2019 16-inch model, running 10.15.7.) I'm connecting via DisplayPort at the moment (HDMI has had the same problem).

The problem is that the monitor frequently (probably most of the time) will not wake from sleep when the laptop wakes.

I have not found a consistently reliable way of forcing the monitor to wake up. Things that *sometimes* work include:

• trying to open DisplayLinkManager in the Applications folder (I assume this is supposed to just run in the background, but I'm trying everything)

• Unplugging and reconnecting the USB-C connection to the DisplayPort adapter

I frequently see "No video input", or "sleep mode" on the screen while I'm troubleshooting.

Turning the monitor on and off does not help, nor does cycling video input source via the joystick on the monitor rear panel

Has anyone had and resolved this issue?

Hello zogster,

Based on what you've told us thus far, it sounds like you need help with this monitor: View support for your 4K Ultra HD LCD monitor 276E8VJSB/27 | Philips

Since this is a third-party, non-Apple product you'll need to follow the steps in the above link or contact the device manufacturer for help as external monitors should wake from sleep when the Mac does.

Cheers!
