Volume on Beats Powerbeats Pro

Recently I have noticed that the volume on my Powerbeats pro has been very low even when I put my music on full volume I am struggling to hear it. I have updated my ios to the newest one (14.7.1) however my Powerbeats pro are still too quiet. I have tried lots of troubleshooting including restarting my iPhone (7) and by restarting the Powerbeats pro (hold button on the inside of the case for 15s till the light flashes red and then white again), this has still not been of any help to me. Could anyone help me out please?

Hi there,

I have just tried what you have suggested and when I connected the beats Powerbeats Pro to my Laptop the volume was also very quiet even when I put it on what should have been full volume. I then connected my beats solo 3 to my phone to play music and it was loud and the correct volume. This makes me think that it is related to the actual Powerbeats Pro product.

What should I do about this.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with the volume of your Powerbeats Pro.

Check out this page of the iPhone User Guide: Adjust the volume on iPhone and specifically the section "Limit the headphone volume". Is it possible the decibel level is turned down?

Hi there,

Just checked the settings under "Sound & Haptics" and then "Headphone Safety". I did not have the "Reduce Loud Sounds" however I have now turned it on and increased the decibel level up to 100 decibels ("As loud as an ambulance siren") and now when I am listening to my music on my Powerbeats Pro on full volume they are only just at an acceptable level however would still like them to be louder. They definitely used to be much louder. Although this is a help this is not a 100% fix.

Do you have anymore advice/help.

Thanks for getting back to us. Isolating the issue further would be best at this point. Try your Beats with another device and see if the issue is the same. Also try another pair of headphones with your iPhone.

If the same thing happens on another device with your Beats, it's likely service will be required: Beats Repair and Service.
