22 outing text on bill
2 without new SIM card do not show 22 outgoing text on bill
i think it’s new SIM card
I googled it and a post on Reddit popped up asking same question. Someone said it is a 3 rd party app. There was a link to a website and it’s spyware that is put on your phone remotely.
That is a good question for T-Mobile?
Wow, Reddit, there is an authoritative technical support site. Did it say what particular website and what spyware? Pegasus? Oddly it appears to be a spyware that only shows up on iPhones using T-Mobile/Sprint. No one ever answered the question as to whether these were SMS texts or iMessages. If they are SMS that is solely within the realm of the cell service provider. If it were happening to me on a Sprint/T-Mobile phone I would keep asking for a supervisor until you got high enough to find someone who knows what they are talking about.
What is the country code the messages are going to (the first 2 or 3 digits)?
Also you might have to add two hours to whatever the time is showing on the online phone bill. For some reason mine is 2 hours behind.
Still haven’t figured it out. First time I saw it was while my husband was upgrading our phones, then nothing until once in June then everyday from the middle of July on. Here and there on my texts but very early every morning on my husbands.
I’m thinking whatever it is has something to do with their particular phone plan but I can’t figure out why my outgoing texts to 22 are maybe 2-3 times a month but my husband is 1-3 times a day. I don’t think it the COVID-19 tracing. I don’t remember anything like that and again they’re all outgoing
I have seen this on my husband’s bill!! I was getting mad I could figure it out!! I now believe it to be part of covid contact tracing! I got the shot aug 15 and accepting via text then starting aug 15 this same thing shows on my bill!! I can’t explain it for sure since there are no actual out going messages to “22” in text log. And I know for a fact I didn’t send any text at 4am! It’s the only reasoning I can come up with??
I don’t think it’s covid tracing only because I first saw it on the bill in January when my husband was at T Mobile upgrading our phones and it was only on his outgoing texts not mine. Our covid shots were months after that. I didn’t see 22 on my bill until June but only 3x that month. It didn’t show on my husbands again until July 16 and it has been every day early in the morning since then. Mine are 3-6 times a month and it’s later in the morning. I noticed on his a lot of times it’s right when he gets to the gym or to get coffee. I hope someone figures this out.
That’s the thing. On the bill it says it’s an outgoing text from our phone being sent to “22”. I’m definitely not sending any text. When I tried to send a text to 22 and looked at the new bill it said incoming. So it’s opposite. Very odd
I have yet to figure out what exactly the 22 outgoing messages are but as for why it says incoming when you attempt to text it, that is because you receive the message “this service is unavailable” as an incoming message. I will get to the bottom of this, somehow…
Utter nonsense, which is what Reddit usually is. It is not possible to put spyware or anything else on a phone remotely unless you were stupid enough to jailbreak your phone or install apps that you did not download from the App Store.
See same thing on bf phone a few times a month. His is new iphone on sprint/tmobile. Also the first months of his service on my plan he used over 100GB of data so maybe it has something to do with High Data Users Policy?
This is the same problem we have been having for over a year as well . My husband and my phone both have numerous text to 22 on our bill every month . They are also at weird times . Our bill is several hours off on time as we’ll . No one seems to know why this occurs . It has bothered me for a long time because it is such a mystery that sprint /T-Mobile know nothing about.
