The color on my MacBook Pro with the Retina Display is washed out. I have tried adjusting the color to no avail. I have looked for a reset of the display. I can use it but pictures and Video chatting isn't very clear. There is a shadow/color washing of faces. Can this be reset or is the screen shot?

Thanks so much for the screenshot. As the issue isn't visible on our end, let us know what happens if you start your Mac in safe mode. Does the color appear as expected at that point? Here's a guide with the steps to walk you through the process:

If the issue does not occur in safe mode, but returns on the next normal restart, test your login items following these instructions:

If it remains washed out in safe mode, the next step would be to start up in macOS Recovery, and browse the web online using Safari there. This guide explains how to start in macOS Recovery and open a Safari session there:

If the colors are washed out here, this helps to isolate the issue to the display itself. At that point, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support to determine options to have your MacBook Pro examined in person.

This is a Mojave 10.14.6
The color washout is constant with the color washed out. That is why I wandered if there was a reset code. I attached a screen shot but it may not washout in your screen.

So that we understand exactly what's going on, please let us know more about this display behavior you're seeing. Is this issue occurring at all times, in all apps? Or is it occurring only when using specific apps?

Verify >System Preferences did not get adjusted esp >Accessibility>Display> Contrast
