help fixing my computer

when i did my update some of my apps wont open. has a line through them . it says the developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOs.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Which Apps?

Look into the Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files like Word & Excel, & Page Layout…

32 bit apps will not work with Catalina or Big Sur, both of which only run 64 bit apps.

You didn't get the memo?

Your 32-bit apps will not work in your new operating system.

You'll have to find replacements for them.
