After update IOS 14.7.1 CarPlay isn’t work and Face ID has been disabled .

CarPlay not working after ios 14.7.1 upgrade initially in 2020 Honda. I tried several times to unplug and plug back in the phone. Later after starting car again with phone plugged in it started working again 🤷‍♀️

I have this same issue. My CarPlay works sometimes and stops sometimes on the same day. Idk if it’s an Apple issue because it just started recently. My cable charges though but doesn’t connect to my phone for Apple play

If this only started after updating your device, there is a step mentioning the need to check if the car stereo needs an update to work with the new iPhone model or iOS version, stating: "Make sure that your CarPlay stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information."
