NO Sim in upper left corner after data transfer to new phone

after transferring from my old iphone to new phone--it still says no sim

A SIM is a physical card that you must insert into the SIM slot on your phone. Did you physically move the SIM from your old phone to your new phone? That is the easiest way to transfer service→Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support or watch this video:



As an alternative, you can get a new SIM card from your carrier, or activate the eSIM if you have an iPhone 11 or later. Contact the carrier for both options.
