Facetime

my FaceTime is using my email address to make calls instead of my phone number I have not moved any on my setting can you tell my why it would do this on its own?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

If mobile number itself is an Apple ID address Use your mobile phone number as your Apple ID - Apple Support

then it will show mail address ( that is same as Apple ID address ) and will work to calls using FaceTime app see the article Set up FaceTime on iPhone - Apple Support
