Resetting iPhone of a deceased person
My father passed away and we do not know his password to unlock his phone and we just want to remove his id and reset it . How can this be done.

Im sorry to hear that your father passed away
You can reset the iPhone using a mac or pc, here’s a guide on how to: https://support.apple.com/en-nz/HT204306
But if your father had an Apple ID signed in on the iPhone, when you reset the iPhone, the iPhone will become activation locked. Meaning that the Apple ID password would need to be entered to continue setup
