i am trying to get them repaired because one airpod wont charge and nothing is fixing it i think it has something to do with the battery or hardware.

My airpods are gen 1 but when i look on apple.com it says they are gen 2 when i put in the serial number, i am 100% sure they are gen 1 because they have the light inside of the airpod case.
