I just have bought my new Imac. I have already a MacbookAir too. FaceTime is working as it should on the MacBookAir. But it isn't on the Imac. After filling in my Apple Id and password it returns in the starting screen. That is what is happening. What to do?

Hey Harleyhans,

It appears that you're having a problem signing into FaceTime on your new iMac. When you try to sign in with your Apple ID, it returns to the FaceTime screen, and we're glad to provide assistance.

If FaceTime isn't working on your Mac - Apple Support -- Refer to the steps below:

"If you can't sign in to FaceTime

Feel free to get back to us with any questions or problems you may have.

All the best.

Since you'd already tried that, Harleyhans, we have a couple of more steps to use.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support -- Restart your iMac in safe mode and see if you're able to sign into FaceTime. Safe mode does require more time to start up, and the first paragraph in this article explains why. After testing, restart your iMac normally.

New user or group setup - Apple Support -- If you still can't sign in using safe mode, create a new Admin user account and see if you're able to sign in.

Get back to us when you're able to with the results of both tests please.

Take care.
