Email

I changed my yahoo account password on the computer at work. I m trying to change it on my phone, but I keep getting an error message stating “email mismatch”. So, I tried to change through my phone and I go through the process and I get the same message.

Remove your email account and set it up again

Make sure that all of your emails are there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap the email account that you want to remove. Tap Delete Account.

  1. When you make an iOS or iPadOS backup in iCloud or iTunes, it backs up your mail settings, but not your email. ...

I guess probably you have enabled two-step verification for extra security on Yahoo! Mail.


In that case, you need an app-specific password for the iOS mail app.
