Is there a way to find items stored from my old IMac? My old IMac crashed and I thought I had most everythign backed up onto Icloud, but now I can't find anything.

In old Mac , If desktops and documents , iCloud Drive was always turned on Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive - Apple Support

Use iCloud Drive to store documents on your Mac and iOS devices - Apple Support

And applications box were checked Turn iCloud features on or off - Apple Support , the data from each application will sync with iCloud .

In new Mac , if the same Apple ID and password and with same account credentials used in old crashed Mac is used / signed in and again applications are turned on , the old data will start syncing when iCloud is set up Set up iCloud on your Mac - Apple Support in new Mac Set up your MacBook Pro - Apple Support ( high network speed is must ) Get file, folder and disk information on Mac - Apple Support , also the cloud storage limit must not have crossed the designated data .

Once data is synced , you can access at www.icloud.com see the article Use iCloud.com on a computer - Apple Support
