What have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this? I'm assuming that you got your new MacBook Air directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, and it's the new M1 model ... correct?

For example:

Connect the power adapter and fully charged up the notebook.
Pressed the unmarked button in the top right-hand side of the top row of keys.
Made sure that the display brightness was not turned down.
