I just looked at my purchase history and saw there was “hidden purchases.” I clicked on it and there are about 10 hidden purchases for apps that I’ve never heard of and don’t have any idea why or how they’re on my phone. How is this possible and how do I remove them?

If you truly do not remember having purchased these, it is conceivable that if your Apple ID was compromised, or somebody such as a child had access to your iPhone, that somebody may have used your account (and money) to buy those items, then hidden them hoping you wouldn't notice this. In that case here are things to consider:

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

- "If you don't want to see an app in your list of purchases in the App Store, hide it."
You cannot remove purchases, just hide them. These were likely hidden a long time ago.
