The cardio fitness function on my new Apple Watch fails to display any data after weeks of walking and running workouts outdoors. Although the notifications are turned, “No Data” is displayed when I select “ Show All Data”. How do I correct this problem?

No “setup” prompt appears when I select “cardio fitness”. The appears in the “no data” section of the app. When I go to the section that details what devices are sending data to the app, there are no devices displayed, not even my new Apple Watch, which contains all of the raw workout data that would allow the calculation of VO2 Max.

Unpaired, re-paired, set up as new watch…no joy; cardio data is still not displaying.
Unpair and re-pair and setup as new.
