My iphone 6s overheating and battery draining

I've looked on the forum and haven't as jet found a solution. My iphone 6s has just started rapidly overheating, showing the temp warning and draining the battery. If I start using it within minutes this happens. I've check the battery usage and analytics which seem OK. I've updated the latest iOS update. I've deleted apps recently updated and reset all settings. Nothing has worked. I'm reluctant to do a DFU restore as other comments mention this doesn't work either. Help

I know that you said that you have checked the battery usage and analytics however I am not sure what exactly you have checked. My response below may be something that you have already checked however just to be sure, here it is.

You may have a poor battery condition which cannot provide sufficient power for peak performance. What is the Battery Health of your iPhone? Open Settings Battery Battery Health and let us know which percentage you see for Maximum Capacity. Also note what is written under Peak Performance. If your battery's Maximum Capacity shows a value of 80% or less, then it has gone through its lifecycle and therefore should be replaced, according to Apple
