iPad Pro 12.9" taking so long to come

My question is that after I've ordered an iPad pro 12.9" during this window of late July to August, how long does it take for the engraving to be done and gotten it off the manufacturing line? Why has my order been in the processing stage for an eternity, staying at the "We are processing your order. We’ll update your delivery date when your order is preparing to ship."

If it's shipping from China, like most things I buy from Shopee, it shouldn't be this long to arrive at my doorstep? Everything else I've bought AFTER placing my order has already arrived, even the airpods and the pencil, this makes absolutely no sense.

I would assume that the demand isn't as high as it was when first released.
