I've deleted a book from my Kindle list on the Amazon website, but the image is still on my iPad. One suggestion on this website was: press and hold the book image, and use menu to delete. When I do that a small window appears with a few possible options, e.g. "download", etc but no delete option. There is no menu anywhere. Can anyone help? I need to delete several books.

Maybe it works differently if you already deleted it from your library on the website. So it is actually deleted but the app needs to update to catch up with the website. Try pulling down the library page on the app to make it update.
Partly. One book which I deleted on the kindle app on my iMac is still there, but others which I've deleted on the Amazon website using "manage your devices" were successfully deleted (choose the "Delete permanently" option).
When I do that I get a pop-up menu which includes "Permanently Delete". If you're not seeing that you may need to contact Amazon for support. This is on the Kindle app.
Am afraid that didn't work. I've also since dwobloaded another book so the app is up to date.
