My Mac messages that I have Weak Security (WPA), My CenturyLink 5G Modem/Router says security is WPA2-AES. Which is correct?

My Mac messages that I have Weak Security (WPA), My CenturyLink 5G Modem/Router says security type is WPA2-AES. Which is correct? Or is there a way to get these two to agree?

The latest OS now gives a warning when the router does not have the latest security enabled. You can check the router website to see if you can choose a different setting or talk to your provider and ask if they have a modem/router which has the latest (WPA 3) security features. By the way, you've had the weak security for a while - you just did not know it because your device did not warn you. Having said that, your setting is pretty good, so I would not worry too much.
