Using my AirTag to find my dog. Can it get wet if she goes in the lake?

From Apple directly:

  1. AirTag is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Refer to the Safety and Handling documentation for cleaning and drying instructions.

As is the case with all other Apple products, they are NOT waterproof, but are water resistant, meaning they can withstand minor instances of water, like splashes, but should not be submerged in water if an AirTag went swimming with your dog.

There are waterproof AirTag cases you can buy. A quick search on Amazon found these options --> https://www.amazon.com/s?k=airtag+waterproof+case+dog&crid=3H6DT7G10FG6P&sprefix=airtag+water%2Caps%2C227&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_3_12
