No light on Airpods Pro when Charging.

There is not a light or indicator on the Airpods Pro to know if the Airpods are still charging. Both AirPods are currently in the case and the case is being charged with a USB cable. How do you know if AirPods are actually being charged?

Also, will the case charge with the AirPods in the case or do you have to remove the AirPods in order to charge the case?

I charge mine on my 3-in-1 charger and my AirPod Pro also is seemingly dead. When I take them off the charger pad and open the lid they show charged with a green LED

There is a button on the back of the case that can actuate the LED indicator manually
