App stuck in app library

HELP,

I accidentally removed an app from my homescreen. I CAN find it when searched for in the App Library, BUT there is no option "Add to homescreen" as I read around the internet, while holding long press.. The only option that appears is "Share App".

I tried to go to settings/storage and uninstall and reinstall the app, but still it only appears in the App library.... Also tried to move it out from the app library, which is not possible, it's stuck. AND tried to make my homescreen jiggle, go to App library, but still doesn't work.

I have a iPhone 5SE.

iPhone SE, iOS 14

I don't think you're actually accessing the App Library when you are doing this.

If you swipe downward from your Home Screen and just type the app name into the search field.. that's not the App Library.

You need to swipe left on your iPhone (which is putting your finger on the right, center part of your iPhone screen and dragging you finger across the display toward the left side of your screen).

Do this repeatedly until you get to a screen with a different tile structure and a search field at the top of the screen that says App Library.. You can dig around in the categories if you like.. at which point you tap/hold and it'll give you a pop up menu with the option to move it out to the Home Screen, but it's much easier IMO to tap in the search field or swipe downward.. locate the app, tap and hold, then drag. Out to the Home Screen it goes
