Apple support takes too long
Sent my phone in for repair from an apple store on July 17th and it's been here since July 21st. Why is there such a delay in response and phone shipments?

there is a global lack of containers and ques in many harbors because so much is shipped in these civid19 days
maybe that would account for the delay, otherwise if it required chip replacement then there is a global shortage of smd components too.
