I just got a pair of AirPods Pro today. The firmware of the AirPods Pro is the latest one but the spatial audio on my iPhone XS Max doesn’t work at all no matter how many times I disconnect and reconnect the AirPods. However, it works well with my iPad pro 11inch 2021 model. It is because of my iPhone or what?

Thank you for your reply. The spatial audio works fine now on my iPhone XS Max. I just need to turn off “Mono Audio” in “Audio/Visual”.
But now new problem occurs. The first day, my mic worked fine. The second day, the mic became muffled. I couldn’t use it to record my voice in voice memo because it’s too muffled. Is it because of the hardware or sth? Even on my iPad Pro, it’s still muffled. I tried disconnecting the AirPods multiple times but it’s still the same.

We understand that spatial audio is not working as expected with your iPhone XS Max and AirPods Pro but it working as expected with your other Apple device. We’d like to help.
Here’s some information about how to Listen with spatial audio for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Per the section “What you need”, you’d need an “iPhone 7 or later…” so your iPhone would be expected to support spatial audio with AirPods Pro.
When testing spatial audio on your iPhone, are you playing “Audiovisual content from a supported app”?
Try to listen to the spatial audio demonstration on your iPhone. To learn how to play the demonstration, take a look at the section titled “Turn on spatial audio” in the resource linked above. Is spatial audio working when testing it?

If the sound and playback after recording audio with your AirPods Pro is muffled and does not sound clear as expected, we would suggest resetting them. Here's How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro.
If this continues after resetting and pairing them again with your devices, as a next step we would advise taking a look at AirPods Service and Repair.
