When setting up my new iPhone I accidentally saved a copy of all my contacts on the iPhone itself. Now, I have a group of contacts stored locally on my iPhone (can't delete it on icloud.com). How can I delete said group?

I did all that and yet my contacts were still there. But after signing back into iCloud I was presented the option to merge my contacts, which then resolved the issue.
