I can’t turn on my device. There are no buttons on the sides. How do I do that? How can I charge this device?

As connorfromgrinnell suggests, if there are no buttons, you do not have an Apple Watch.
Every Apple Watch has a side button and a Digital Crown.
To turn off your Apple Watch, press and hold the enlongated side button until a power off slide appears on the Watch screen. Then slide it. TO turn it back on, just press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
To share your Watch, the magnetic puck just attached to the back.
